Flavio Da Rold

Flavio Da Rold was bom in 1945 in Belluno (Italy), where he currently lives and works.

During the early 70s he attended the studio of the artist Antonio Bassetto, where he trained as a painter. Following his early experimentation in both abstract and informel painting, his artistic research is directed towards the field of installation. Alongside the constant presence of colour, he utilises natural materials such as wood, iron and cement to creates 3dimensional works which always interact with space, time and memory, motivated by a commitment to establish an accurate and balanced relationship between art and territory.

At the end of the 80s he is co-founder of ‘gruppo ZED’ and later on co-founder of the group ‘ALTA QUOTA’, with which he plans and participates in important events.
